OTHER IMPORTANT NOTICES, NEWS and INFORMATION
- Breathing Color Canvas. As of November 9, 2008 Quality Canvas Photos will be using Breathing Color canvas for all gallery wrap prints.
- Gallery wrap canvas. Please note that as with most printing media, printed canvas is not designed to be folded back on itself. The process of gallery wrapping the canvas print requires a degree of folding that can result in cracking of the print surface. In an effort to eliminate cracking Quality Canvas Photos treats each gallery wrap canvas with the Premier Art ECO Print Coating which is included in the prices posted. Rolled canvas does not come with ECO coating, but may be purchased separately by contacting us.
Also please note that due to the fact that gallery wrap canvases wrap part of the image around the edges of the stretcher frame, objects near the outer edges of the image will fall off the canvas face and over the sides.
- Product Protection. Quality Canvas Photos continues to treat all rolled canvas prints with our standard Premier Art Print Shield product. The primary purpose of spraying with this product is to provide a greater lightfastness rating (i.e. resistance to fading). In November 2006 Quality Canvas Photos began using Canon printers and the Lucia pigmented inks. These inks are rated for 100 years of lightfastness even without the protective spray. However, we continue to spray rolled canvas to ensure superior longevity and lightfastness. Gallery wrap prints are all coated with the superior protection of Premier Art ECO Coating at no extra charge. ECO coating may be purchased for rolled canvas through Special Order.
