What printers, media and inks do you use?
We use Canon iPF8000 12-color inkjet printers. These printers use Canon Lucia pigment inks which are specifically formulated by Canon for archival printing (independently rated bythe Wilhelm Image Research Institute at 100 years of lightfastness). We use two canvas products, both from industry leader Sihl. For semi-gloss finish canvas we use top-of-the-line Water Resistant Satin Canvas. Reproductions on this canvas are outstanding. Then for our matte finish we use Universal Artist Matte. Both products are 20 mil thick with 350 and 340 gram weight.

What guarantees do you offer?
We want your business, and we believe we can earn it. We offer two Guarantees. For your initial order, we offer a limited ‘no-questions-asked’ full refund*. We’ll even refund the shipping charges you paid us (does not apply to expedited or special shipping services). Then, on every subsequent order, we offer a replacement guarantee in which we will replace your canvas print in the event that the canvas material or printing is defective. Refund or replacement requests must be submitted within one week of receiving your order.

*Our ‘no-questions-asked’ full refund on your first order is limited to a rolled canvas photo size no larger than 16"x20" and a gallery wrap canvas no larger than 8"x10". The purpose of this guarantee is for customers to be able to check out our products and services 'risk free'. You are welcome to make a larger initial order, in which case the maximum ‘no-questions-asked’ refund is limited to the monetary equivalent of one 16"x20" rolled canvas or one 8"x10" gallery wrap. Limit of one ‘no-questions-asked’ full refund per email address, household or address. (This guarantee cannot be provided on special order items, where our editing services have been requested or where the request for refund is due to the customer's error in ordering)..

What defects qualify for refunds/replacement?
First, photo canvas, just like artist's canvas, has a textured surface. Occasionally, small irregularities may be visible under close inspection. These are to be expected, and in almost every case add realism to the canvas photo. We inspect every canvas we print in an attempt to ensure our standard of quality materials and printing is achieved. If a flaw is readily visible or would detract from the aesthetic look of the canvas, we will print another master. In the off chance that you receive a canvas that does not meet these standards, please Contact Us and we will do our best to provide you with a satisfactory resolution. Please note. We cannot provide refund or replacement for damage caused during your stretching or mounting process. Nor can we guarantee printing results from poor quality or low resolution photo images. We make every effort to retain maximum image quality through our processes and software, but no guarantee of image quality can be provided.

What do I need to do to receive a replacement or refund?
First, notify us concerning your issue (see Contact Us for contact information). If qualified, we will provide you with an address where you can return the damaged or defective canvas. Once we receive the returned canvas we will process your replacement or refund request immediately. We will keep you informed by email throughout this process.

Do you provide stretched canvas?
Yes! We provide two stretched canvas options. Both are gallery wrap options with different depths of stretchers. [In gallery wrap the canvas image is printed larger in order for the image to be wrapped around the 4 sides (top/bottom/left/right)of the stretcher bars.] We only provide gallery wrap canvas up to a maximum size of 20x24 due to the cost of shipping larger pieces. Please note that the order size for gallery wrap canvas corresponds to the dimensions of the front face of the stretched canvas, and does not include the portion of the image that wraps around the sides. (For example: a 16x20 - 1.5" gallery wrap has a 16x20 front face, but the canvas image would be printed at 19x23, allowing 1.5" from each side to be wrapped around the stretcher bars). Also please note that objects near the edge of the image will 'fall off' the front face of the canvas print and be part of the image that wraps the edges of the stretcher bars. In an effort to reduce visibility of the corner folds, Quality Canvas Photos places the corner folds on gallery wrapped pieces along the top and bottom edges of the gallery wrap product. Finally, to reduce the possibility of corner and edge cracking (fractures) we treat all gallery wrap canvas with our high quality Premier Art ECO coating (matte finish for matte canvas prints and gloss finish for semiglos canvas prints).

Do you spray or coat your canvas with some type of sealer/finishing product?
Yes we do. For rolled canvas we use the Premier Art Print Shield Spray to provide additional UV protection. Our new Lucia inks are rated at 100 years without coating or sprays, however we continue to spray rolled canvas to ensure superior longevity and lightfastness. It is important to note that the rolled canvas print can be damaged by direct contact with water even with the protective spray. For Gallery Wrap orders, all canvas print are coated with Premier Art ECO Coating at no additional cost (matte for matte orders and gloss for semigloss orders). Please Note. ECO Coating may be ordered for rolled canvas by special request. This product (the Premier Art ECO Print Coating) provides additional UV protection (i.e. fade resistance), as well as substantial moisture resistance, scratch, scuff and crack-resistance protection. The cost of this coating is $.03 per square inch of canvas (including the border). For instructions on how to order the ECO coating please contact us using the Contact Us or Special Orders page. Also note that our Gallery Wrap products come with the ECO Coating applied without additional charge.

What type of digital files do you accept?
We have found that the best formats for both our clients and our workflow are JPG and TIF formatted image files. We are able to handle other formats upon request (use Contact Us or Special Orders page), but prefer the jpg and tif formats for ease of processing.

Do you offer special image processing, such as cropping, red-eye reduction, color correction or sharpening?
We can and will do custom work upon request. Extra charges may apply, although many of these services are performed for free. Please visit our Special Orders page and follow the directions for requesting special services. We will do our best to accommodate you, and will always give you a set cost before any work is done.

Do you employ any color management techniques?
Yes, we do. Our in-shop workflow uses the Adobe 1998 colorspace. Our workstation monitors have been calibrated and profiled, and our Canon 12-color printers have had custom profiles created in an effort to ensure color consistency throughout the process. If your images are tagged with an ICC color space, ensure they are accurate, as improperly tagged images may result in color shifts during print conversion. Although we do our best to reproduce your colors accurately, we cannot offer color reproduction guarantees.

What kind of shipping options do you offer?
For USA and Canada destinations, we ship your canvas by USPS Priority (US) and USPS Air Mail (Canada) to get your order to you without delay (typical delivery time of 3-4 business days in the US, 10+ business days to Canada). Larger shipments may be sent by FEDEX (US only). USPS Priority/Air Mail are not guaranteed services, and we cannot guarantee delivery times through USPS or any 3rd party shipper. To keep your costs low, we only charge a 'nominal' shipping fee of $5.00 for rolled canvas ($7.50 for gallery wrap) regardless of the size of order placed. Note: an order placed with both rolled and gallery wrap pieces will require us to create two separate shipments and we must charge both the rolled and gallery wrap rates. If you have special shipping/delivery requirements, we will attempt to accommodate you, please Contact Us directly or go to our Special Orders page.

Attention Non-US Customers. Shipments to Countries outside the US may be subject to any or all of the following fees: brokerage fees, GST, PST, HST. Quality Canvas Photos can not and will not accept responsibility for these fees.

Why do you only take orders from the United States and Canada?
First of all, we do not prevent customers outside the USA and Canada from placing orders. However, due to the inability to calculate shipping charges for international destinations, we require non-USA/Canada customers to Contact Us so we can determine shipping costs. International customers will be provided special instructions on how to complete their order.

What kind of payments do you accept?
We use Paypal as our backend on-line payment processor. YOU DO NOT need to be a Paypal member to pay for your order. Non-Paypal members can pay using most 'recognized' credit cards. Paypal members can pay us using any of the payment methods that are available to their Paypal account. Please note that Paypal eCheck payments MUST clear before we can process your order. This is a Paypal policy that we strictly adhere to.
